Rockley House Access Statement

Rockley House was built in 1865, unfortunately due to the age and style of the building, none of our guest bedrooms are on the ground floor, Rockley House is not suitable for guests with mobility problems.


Getting Here

Rockley House is on the London Road (A361) Devizes to Swindon, Avebury and Marlborough road. Details on how to get here by car, train, cycle and foot can be found on our Directions page.


The House and Garden

  • The garden is terraced with steep and sometimes uneven steps between tiers. It is not suitable for anyone with mobility problems.

  • The canal is at the end of the garden and it is not fenced off. Children need to be supervised at all times due to the danger presented.

  • Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the house. You may smoke in the garden but you are asked to use the ashtrays provided and be respectful of our other guests.

  • The house is hardwired for smoke, heat and carbon-monoxide. Please advise us if you have hearing or mobility issues or if you may need assistance should the house need to be evacuated. 

  • Breakfast is served in the dining room on the ground floor. There is a single large dining table that seats 10 guests. A highchair and a booster seat are available for younger guests.

  • We regret that we are not able to accommodate any person(s) with a serious and/or life-threatening nut or food allergy as we cannot guarantee the provenance of every item of food in our kitchen. We are happy to cater for any other dietary needs, such as gluten-free, vegetarian or vegan diets, but please tell us at the time of booking as we can provide more interesting choices with prior notice.
